I noticed the hype on toys from china containing lead has slowed down to none lately.?

Plus i was in walmart the other day and noticed a lot of the dora and diego toys in there were made in china. Is there still a danger of lead paint or did they pull all of those toys? How do we know whats safe for our little ones?
