California daycare licesnsing how to's?

im trying to find exactly what the steps are to get a california daycare license....ive searched it on the net and could barly find anything on it, or i dont understand all the lingo. so if anyone knows let me know please, in laymens terms or who exactly i should call (ive been told so many different things)....i need everything on it. thanks
