Dad won't let me buy and iPhone?

OKay, so we're just about to switch to AT&T. I have a Verizon LG enVtouch (which is crappy and scratched thx to Talia!) And he wants me to *keep* that one!!! I have wanted an iPhone forever! I love my APPLE imac :) i love Apple :) so I must have it. It works better for me! And Since were going on Vacation in a bit he won't let me take my computer and I hate Microsoft Windows. And if he thinks i will get caught up in it there are apps for math and learning. When I said: "Dad...Since were going to AT&T...uhmm what kind of phone can I get? Like and iPhone?" Dad: "Why do you need an iPhone?". [sigh] so i'm pretty sad right now. and were getting a check for a lot of money so I don;t see why I can;t ditch my used-and-scratched-up-phone I don;t like anymore and replace it with a phone we can all use? (mainly for me lol, but you get the idea)!
