How many sims 3 expansion packs can you install?

Right, I've been through Sims 2 and now starting Sims 3, but most of it is exactly the same. In order to play the game you use the ambitions disk, when you download late night you use that disk and so on. As far as I know you can download as many games as you like however it may slow your computer down. I hope I've helped you. :)
