What happened in forced unleashed?

Lucasarts has made a star wars force unleashed 2, but how does that fit into the main story? In the end of the first game you have two choices to make. You can either be bad or good. When you choose bad you become a bad guy with armor that keeps you alive like darth vader. When you choose good you DIE!!!! No in the new game it shows him walking around just fine and dandy with no armor. Can someone help me?
