When I start my 1993 JEEP Cherokee in the mornings, it does a really rough idle sputter thing. Almost sounds?

like Speed-buggy. Then after a little driving it smooths out. Just had the starter replaced in it...just to mention. Didn't seem to do this before. Starter installed by a friend who doesn't know much bout mechanics but said he knew how do do a starter. Whats up with my beloved jeep to make it act this way. It really idles rough and does the speed buggy sputter when I start it in the mornings. It doesn't do it though out the day if I I turn it off and start it again. Only first thing in the morning.
